Ionia County

Located between Grand Rapids, and Michigan’s capital city of Lansing, Ionia County has an equal mix of agricultural strength, manufacturing knowledge, natural resources, and small communities.

With its rich history of multi-generation farming, much of the county still remains agricultural. Within Ionia County’s villages and small cities, local businesses and public support have preserved much of the historic charm and infrastructure that appeals to visitors and residents alike.

Growth Through Partnership

Comprising area companies and dedicated to retaining and attracting businesses to Ionia, the Ionia County Economic Alliance (ICEA) provides a number of economic development services, including workforce development, business support and county planning.

To extend its reach throughout the county, ICEA has partnered with The Right Place to connect more of its companies to business resources. As a part of the partnership, The Right Place has included Ionia County in its marketing and promotional materials

Jennifer Wangler Joins The Right Place

Coming from the Grand Rapids Community College where she connected companies to area service providers for anything from technical training to business plan development, Jennifer Wangler brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role with Right Place.

She is assisting  Ionia County companies exclusively as part of a three-year contract between The Right Place and the Ionia County Economic Alliance (ICEA).  The partnership also means The Right Place and ICEA will provide comprehensive economic development services including business retention, expansion and attraction support to Ionia County companies.
