Annual Shingo Prize Conference

Since its inception, the Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing has honored businesses and researchers through North America 's premiere manufacturing award program. It has been dubbed the "Nobel Prize of Manufacturing" by Business Week and noted by Masaaki Imai, Chair , Kaizen Institute, as the only award program in the world focused on Lean manufacturing and the elimination of "muda." The Prize highlights the value of using and expanding lean/world-class manufacturing practices.

The two objectives of the week long conference, workshops and plant tours are to:

• Detail the best in class implementation principles and techniques of Lean Business, and
• Detail how the Shingo Prize framework can help drive world-class performance for quality, cost, and delivery
