A new ranking by MagnifyMoney has put Grand Rapids at the top of the list for places to make the most of a tight budget. Whether you're a college student with a small budget or just entering the workforce, Grand Rapids has got you covered. The city was ranked No. 2 based on its favorability and affordability for people age 18-24.

Grand Rapids scored a high 72.4/100 based on its price of goods, average commute time, low youth unemployment rates, and more. Although the city ranked second behind Madison, Wis., Grand Rapids did beat Madison in a number of categories. Grand Rapids has more pizza joints per capita, fewer young people in poverty, and a lower median rent.

Grand Rapids outranked over 100 other cities, including Seattle, Denver, and Boston.
