According to a study by the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care and the Washington Post, Grand Rapids is the top region in the nation for end-of-life care quality. The study analyzed almost 300 regions and determined the ranking based on several factors such as hospice use.
Grand Rapids was named the top region with areas like Sarasota, Fla. and Cedar Rapids, Iowa following behind. Of the top 10 regions, three areas were from Michigan: Petoskey, St. Joseph, and Grand Rapids.
