According to U.S. Census Bureau, as of last summer, Grand Rapids saw a population increase of 1,135 residents. Surrounding townships also saw significant increases, boosting the overall population gain for the region.

These gains make Greater Grand Rapids* the leader in Michigan's population growth, with nearly 38,000 new residents in the last five years.
