Institute for Supply Management - Greater Grand Rapids, Inc. is a local affiliate of the Institute for Supply Management (formerly the National Association of Purchasing Management). It has over 300 members from both the service and manufacturing industries. ISM-GGR's mission is to provide educational programs and networking opportunities related to supply management which will advance professional growth and development.
The Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University
The Broad School is consistently among the top-ranked business schools in the country, with more than 5,500 students currently enrolled in undergraduate, MBA, masters, doctoral, and executive development programs. The faculty in its Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management are internationally recognized leaders in integrated supply chain management, including innovation/new product development, procurement/sourcing, manufacturing/operations, logistics/distribution, marketing/customer demand management, and international business. The Broad School offers a number of executive development programs in supply chain management through facilities in Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Troy, Michigan.
The Right Place, Inc./Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center-West
Founded in 1985, The Right Place, Inc. is a regional, non-profit economic development organization that is directed by a board consisting of business and community leaders. Its mission is to promote area economic growth through high-quality employment, productivity, and technology. To do so, the program focuses on retaining existing jobs, supporting local business growth, and attracting new business to the Greater Grand Rapids area.
The Western Michigan Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) board is dedicated to meeting the professional supply chain management needs of our community. The CSCMP is a non-profit organization whose goal is to advance supply chain management skills among its membership. Continuous learning and application will enable our members and West Michigan businesses to remain competitive in the various sectors we support.
The CSCMP offers opportunities to participate in this goal through dinner meetings targeted at sharing best-in-class practices, concepts, and application, professional networking with peers, and bringing visibility to opportunities in the local job market. It operates in an informal and collaborative setting with members from industry, academia and consulting backgrounds with a focus of adding value to those who participate.
Western Michigan University
Western Michigan University's Integrated Supply Matrix Management (ISM) Program is an interdisciplinary program between the Haworth College of Business and the College of Engineering and Applied Science. The mission of the ISM program is to influence the evolution of supply management theory and practice through scholarly teaching, discovery, integration and application. A strong partnership between the Faculty, Industry, and Students has been an integral part of the ISM program since its founding in 1992.
