Every December, hundreds of West Michigan business leaders join us for breakfast and a look at the year ahead. This year’s Economic Outlook brings together three speakers covering the regional, national, and Michigan economies.

Randy Thelen, President & CEO of The Right Place, will share his annual State of the Region address, recapping the year in Greater Grand Rapids. Attendees will also get early access to our annual State of the Region report at the event before it is released.

Jeff Korzenik, Chief Economist at Fifth Third Bank, has covered topics like the labor market, interest rates, tariffs, and AI investment at past Economic Outlooks. We’re happy to welcome him back for another national update this year.

We’re also excited to welcome Gabriel Ehrlich, Economic Forecaster at the University of Michigan, who will share U-M’s forecast for Michigan’s economy in 2027.
