Mark Kraus named Economic Development Director of Newaygo County Economic Development Partnership

The Right Place, Inc. and the Newaygo County Economic Development Partnership (NCEDP) are pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Kraus as the new Economic Development Director for the Newaygo County Economic Development Partnership.

In his new role, Kraus will lead efforts to support business growth, attract investment, and strengthen economic opportunities throughout Newaygo County. He will serve as the primary contact for companies seeking to expand or locate in the region, connecting local employers and community partners with resources that support long-term economic vitality.

Kraus brings extensive experience in community leadership, financial services, nonprofit administration, and small business management. From 2014 to 2026, he served as Community Liaison and Development Director at TrueNorth Community Services, where he oversaw fundraising and development initiatives for the statewide nonprofit organization. Throughout his career, Kraus has remained deeply committed to strengthening Newaygo County and supporting the people and organizations that make the community thrive.

“I’ve spent much of my career working alongside organizations and leaders in Newaygo County,” said Kraus. “I’m excited to step into this role and continue building on the strong partnerships that support the community.”

The Newaygo County Economic Development Partnership works in collaboration with The Right Place to advance economic development efforts in the county. Through this partnership, Newaygo County benefits from expanded regional resources, business development expertise, and coordinated strategies that help position the area for long-term success.
