The Right Place assists Shoulder Innovations with new headquarters in Byron Township
Growing medical technology company also adding 42 jobs to keep up with customer demand
Today, The Right Place, Inc., in partnership with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), announces that Shoulder Innovations plans to expand its presence, bringing investment of $4.9 million and adding 42 jobs, and constructing a new headquarters facility in Byron Township.
The Michigan-based medical technology company, exclusively focused on transforming the shoulder surgery care market, has identified a vacant site in Byron Township to construct a two-story facility that will bring all operations under one roof and allow for future growth. The construction timeline has yet to be confirmed. Once completed, all the company’s local employees will relocate from its Southwest Grand Rapids location.
This expansion will bring a total capital investment of at least $4,935,646 to Byron Township and create at least 42 new jobs with starting wages of at least $24 per hour, plus benefits, which is above the Regional Median Wage of $22.61 per hour. The new jobs will span a variety of roles and functions, including Accounting and Finance, IT, Quality, Supply Chain, and Administrative.
The Right Place, Inc., assisted the company in identifying the location and securing state support.

The MEDC is supporting the initiative with a $252,000 grant from the Michigan Business Development Program, which will help the company meet short- and long-term goals as it accelerates momentum among surgeons for its portfolio of shoulder surgical care products.
