HTS Direct to locate in Wyoming, MI, establishing first North American location

Regional economic development organization The Right Place, Inc., today announced that German-based HTS Hydraulische Transportsysteme GmbH will establish its first North American location in West Michigan. The new facility (HTS Direct, LLC), located at 3532 Roger B Chaffee Blvd., Wyoming, MI 49548, will provide sales, warehousing, service, and distribution for all North & South American sales.

The company plans to start with one full-time employee in Wyoming, Michigan, and a $110,000 capital investment in the facility.

“We are very excited to establish our first North American presence in West Michigan,” said Michael Koch, Managing Director, HTS Hydraulische Transportsysteme GmbH. “The Right Place provided our company with the service and support we needed to make an informed decision on the best location for this venture.”

HTS develops and manufactures heavy load moving solutions for on-site machinery movement and handling. With more than 40 years of experience and expertise in machinery moving and heavy load handling, the company has developed a global reputation as a leader and innovator in the industry, including its sister companies in the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

HTS currently manufacturers hydraulic jacks with 3-50 tons of lifting capacity (ECO-Jack) and load moving machine dollies with 5-220 tons of carrying capacity (ECO-Skate). Tailor made solutions can be made up to 250 tons.

The Right Place first hosted the company in West Michigan in September 2015, introducing its business leaders to the community and local resources. Once HTS made the decision to locate in West Michigan, representatives from The Right Place connected the company with local legal, accounting, finance, and other business services providers.

“HTS provides a unique value to the industrial market, and we are pleased to welcome them to West Michigan,” said Dave Riley, Business Intelligence & Research Manager, The Right Place, Inc., and project manager of the initiative. “We look forward to assisting HTS in the future and growing their local presence.”
