Ionia County
 

Located between Grand Rapids, and Michigan’s capital city of Lansing, Ionia County has an equal mix of agricultural strength, manufacturing knowledge, natural resources, and small communities.

With its rich history of multi-generation farming, much of the county still remains agricultural. Within Ionia County’s villages and small cities, local businesses and public support have preserved much of the historic charm and infrastructure that appeals to visitors and residents alike.


About the Ionia County Economic Alliance
 

Developed by area businesses, the Ionia County Economic Alliance (IECA) is dedicated to advancing Ionia County’s economy. Its partners include the MichiganWorks!, Michigan State University Extension, the Heartlands Institute of Technology, as well as area business and community leaders.

In 2012, the ICEA contracted with The Right Place to provide even more services to local business. As part of the new partnership, Ionia County has a designated business representative who works directly with companies to connect them to the resources they need to grow and create new jobs.
