The Right Place, Inc. distributes over $9M in emergency grant funds

Today The Right Place, Inc., in collaboration with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and regional partners, announced that 1,060 small businesses have been awarded over $9M in grant funding. These grants were awarded to eligible West Michigan small businesses who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Another round of funding for emergency small business relief has become available from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). Over $9.5M in grant funding has been allocated to The Right Place to support eligible West Michigan businesses.

Today, The Right Place, Inc., in collaboration with the City of Walker, announced that Chicago-based General Truck Parts & Equipment will open its first operation in Michigan. The company will be located at 2686 3 Mile Road in Walker. In addition, the new operation will bring 7-10 new jobs to the area in the next three years and invest over $500,000 to launch the new operation.
